They still think of you sometimes...

No matter the distance - in space or time - they'll remember those unique moments they alone hold close to their hearts.

It may have been a word, a moment, a song, a glance, or the touch of your hand to theirs. And it may have passed so quickly, not even a whisper remains.

You may have forgotten all of it, through life's stretching. But there is always someone that will never forget. Do your best to love them completely.

Love, even if you've forgotten all of them...

"Our existence here and now is not due to our own force, but to the force, blessing and support of all around us. This is not only true for ourselves. Mountains, trees, and birds — all beings exist accordingly."

While everything arises in the mind, not everything is mind made. There are some things with deep value that arise much more deeply. In the rush to nada, it's good not to discount everything.

Deeper than the nothingness of mind is the fullness of your reality. While friends may be none other than ourselves, that does not discount their value in drawing us into one. There is no solo journey. We're in this together.

And thank you as always, Mike.

Most of the people we might have as friends on Facebook probably never pay attention to our updates anyway. ;)

Tokumei,

I read that article, too. It might be good for many. But as with anything, there may be many people out there trying to pound square pegs into round holes.

It is fairly simple to hear from within what we might really need; what is too much or too little; but the problem for many is the inability to listen.

Does Takuin have friends?

Is that really the question you wanted to ask?

I ask because I have heard this question before, and thus far, no one has been satisfied with a simple answer.

A simple answer is yes, but I do not really have them. I mean, they are not mine, not in the way we usually think.

I have deleted both the Facebook and LinkedIn account - after the first reply ;-)

Reminds me of some of the "friends" I have on Facebook. I should know them, but I don't, but I can't decline their friend request. Some of them went to school with me decades ago, but I don't remember them at all. They send messages recalling past events I know nothing about. I indulge them anyway.

This was a very peaceful post, Takuin. They always say something to me. Thank you.

@ Takuin: Does Takuin have friends?

@ Mike: why not unfriending? ( http://mnmlist.com/unfriending-one-key-to-a-minimalist-social-experience/ )

Beautiful post. It captures something I have been surprised by on occasion. What has made a connection for someone.

There is something I call "bookmarks". Kind of like consciously making a reference point in memory. A node that is easy to find. These go back deeply into the long past, farther than one might imagine. If you think of such things - this describes it so well.

This answer is simple enough , thank you!

My friends are even mindmade, I also do not have any. Mind is/n't I and them, no inside, no outside, no me, no them, no ...

Davidya,

In the richest sense of it.

That is not for me to say, of course. ;)

People seem to fly in and out of this life, rather quickly. Even if I wanted to hang onto them, I am not fast enough to catch them.

Davidya,

Yes, that might be a good way to say it. Although I am not sure how 'conscious' one is while the recording takes place. It could easily be in the mind and consciously handled. It could also be something completely out of our hands. Or perhaps a combination of the two?

Perhaps all and none of this....

Been giving that some honest thought, actually.

On Takuin - yes, of course. In the richest sense of it.

Thank you, Kaushik.

It is wonderful, isn't it? To be surprised by something we've always known.
